The Coalition’s structure is made up of a number of key organs that include the General Assembly, the Board of Trustees and the Secretariat. The General Assembly is the supreme organ of the Defenders Coalition and consists of all registered members. A reference group comprising elected geographical and thematic focal point persons inform client focused programme development and implementation. The trustees are responsible for providing policy direction to the organization while the secretariat, which is headed by the Executive Director, is responsible for implementing the policies and programmes of the Coalition.
The Executive Director heads the Secretariat and is responsible for implementing the policies and programmes of the Coalition as well as coordinating her day-to-day operations.
